foundation news including an Earth Day perspective on humanity’s & nature’s intertwined fate.
Nature has sent humanity a wake-up call. How will we answer?

On this Earth Day, Aileen Lee, the foundation’s chief program officer for the Environmental Conservation Program reflects on today’s challenges.

“There is no world in which humanity exists apart from nature; it is clearer than ever that our fates are intertwined, and that our failure to accommodate nature has rendered the life support systems that humanity depends upon far more brittle and more vulnerable to devastating shocks.”

Read on to learn more about nature’s wake-up call and the opportunity to create a more resilient future for all of us.

concept courses from world's most cooperative end poverty racer fazle abed and his brac university legacy

Most popular lessons from ABED University – global university of poverty

UN Goals 1-3 which priority goal do communities need to sustain

     1 ending poverty,

    2 ending hunger,

3 ending ill health and loss of safety

Over half a century the former engineer and regional CEO of Royal Dutch Shell, Fazle Abed was the world’s greatest hero in poverty alleviation – the benchmark servant leader in both education and microentrepreneur incubation hubs.

For evidence as well as experiential learning, we invite you to map the numbers of people impacted and extreme challenges faced. For 50 years he worked in village communities with no access to electricity grids starting in the new nation of Bangladesh (born both poorest and in population top 10 after 1971’s war of independence). He began in villages where disasters had caused families to lose everything. He personally lived through relieving a region where an extremely local cyclone killed half a million people in 48 hours, Abed did not boast about this but it made him -and alumni of Abed - fearless in just doing it (poverty alleviation)

Abed University is concerned with his valuing his legacy of a global university of poverty –  his will to open source knowhow to linkin the first sdg generation all over the world. By his death in Dec 2019, he had built the world’s largest coalition of ngo’s with the hope that they would help linkin the servant leadership core to womens global university of ending poverty. The opportunity to mediate this can be searched through the partners of brac and in turn through the partners of the open society university network which george soros invited brac uni to be a founding member of. All of soros’s most extraordinary achievements in supporting African development, link in coalitions of universal public health, empowering poorest village partners leapfrog through mobile technologies connect a handful of extraordinary servant leaders including al of jim kim and fazle abed’s most dedicated last mile health leaders

Although Abed described his passion as ending poverty, he designed community building systems around the win-win-wins of goal 1 to 3.

Turning solutions to life critical health and safety challenges of infants and mothers into community enterprises led by village mothers was pivotal to brac scaling its reach to hundreds of thousands of villages. Brac pioneered the innovation that village mothers in humid places – typically tropical latitude 0 to 30 – could save quarter of all children from dying of diarrhea. The gravitational core? Virally multiplying knowhow: to mix boiled water sugar and salt in correct proportions and delivering it to infant in time. By identifying 10 most basic cures brac a mother in every village sustain a small business as community health servant. By relentless focus on basic last mile health services, abed helped to raise the life expectancy of rural Bangladesh from 30 something to 60 something. This is the most basic economic challenge for any place or nation progressing from least developed to developing. A place where most people die before the age of 40 cannot expect families and community to sustain intergenerational skills and often fails to develop literacy of most of its peoples

After the world wars, the greatest solution the west has ever open sourced to the world’s poorest villagers comes from the America Borlaug’s crop science – particularly how Asians apply that to rice. Borlaug has been shown to end death by famine of over a billion people. In brac’s system village mothers started up small businesses applying Borlaug geared to their own nutrition and the first 1000 days of an infant’s life which is most critical to development of brain and body. During Brac’s first decade abed developed a complete catalogue of food security microfranchises that village mothers could apply. Once brac had become the peer to peer network supporting positive cash flows of hundreds of thousands of village mothers, it started designing financial services founded on trusting village women managing the end of poverty and rural nation building

Through mapping bottom up solutions , and peer to peer networking of the knowhow needed to operate them, fazle abed also changed the local to global business model of aid. His village heath servants also became the nations core infrastructure to fighting infectious diseases- tuberculosis experts come from around the world to study at abed u’s james grant college of public health. After abed’s first decade village mothers demanded their profits be ploughed back into schooling girls and boys. One of the lessons in brac primary schools is developed by the world’s number 1 coalition of WASH ends poverty

Those privileged to partner in abed knowhow can now scale love globally together with youth’s hope that peoples unite in facing up to  2020’s most urgent challenges to our species;  end virus and adapt both community-deep and virtual

LESSON COMPASS/MOOC 2 – how did abed transcend quarter of century of no tech people to people livelihood training to quarter of century of blending in most extraordinary digital partners in global university of poverty relevant to anywhere that children or parents spend time mobilizing online

hello friends these are extraordinary times - i dont think man's macroeconomics versus natures microevolutionary code has simultaneously faced more tipping points in the 260 years since adam smith started mapping - certainly world leaders have never knowingly made global decisions with one eightieth of the real picture of where the enemy (virus) is interfacing -stanford research indicates hopkins may have underestimated virus population by 85 fold

in june 2009 my family asked several people from british council bbc brac to join us in celebrating dr yunus 69th birthday party in dhaka- dr y wasnt pleased- so we invited 300 people to celebrate his 70th university at glasgow university - that time glasgow u principal wasnt pleased-in 2012 in remembrance of dad norman macrae japan embassy in tokyo invited sir fazle abed to dinner roundtable on future of sdh university coalitions- case of third time lucky

20 of most inspiring ideas ever shared! - notes from 11 years of interviews or WRJ sir fazle abed brac brac uni bkash with special thanks to japan embassy in dhaka 2012 for 2 round tables on the future of brac and of ebrac

1 career 3rd time lucky- as a teenager i thought shipping would be important to the future of East Pakistan(a name assigned to the partitioning at India subcontinent independnence 1947) -so i went to glasgow university to studyarchitecture of ship building -part of my mistake when i graduated in those days (late 50s) i couldnt geta shipbuilding job in a warm place; most of my family were chartered accounatts so i studied that and by 1970 i had become E Pakistan's CEO for the shell oil multinational- but then a cyclone killed a million people all around me so i wanted a job that would help with poverty alleciation- i didnt know that half a century of doin that would resultin the worlds largest ngo partnership but i value cooperation in actiong life saving networks so as long as we celebratebrac as always built by worlds poorest village women celebrating big cooperation spaces is ok

Global experts fly in after disaster, leave before development- trickle down aidFood -secures every community nutrition infants up.Basic health for all..ecommerce one biggest retailer.paper cash for politicinans and big lobbies to control.homes and saety for the richestlivelihood education for less and less youth..energy and plastic used by richest as if there is no tomorrowcelebritity fashion arts for the few and for big advertosers.big get bigger lawyes and pros.2020s tech for big brother endgaames.
maximise local resilience disaster & redevelopment- inward investment (wherever possible positice cashflow microfranchises) owned in trust for community end poverty.Food - for the richest -others get junk or occasional famine.USA health -twice as coinstly as anywhere else and not for all.distribution (value chain design) for every community to thrive.digital cash potentially allocated to end poverty grow livelihoods out of every community.family homes and safety.youth are places win-win currency- livelihood edu for all youthdesigning energy and beyond plastic so that man's global systems dont unbalance natures.celebrity fashion arts for every community- minimal adsbarefoot lawyers, professionals.2020s techforsdgs and every girl can thrive..

2 i began brac by locating our headquarters in a village region without electricity and mapping what skills people couldlearn from each other to relieve a community hit by disater and then to develop livelihoods- in my country in 1972 young village women didnt travel- they built communities; often the strongest young men were expected to go ear money in cityor abroad -and to remit money back to family- therefore i needed to map most urgent livelihood for village wome-

3 i was lucky to retain my global business friends- they told me rice could grow 3 times more than bangladesh had ever sen before-

4 next we found out that vilage mothers could save quarter on infants from dying of dehydration using oral rehydration- this cure mixes an exact recipe boiled water, salt sugar- as long as a mother knows how and when to do this its the cheapest live saving  health service you will ever find.

5 so if brac gravitates unique prtners its vecause we are the world largest livelihoods educator, girls networks maximise peer to peer action learning, and its also bracs job to be the market maker- redesign value chain so that no hsrd working mothers skill is ever undervalued after mapping solutions village mothers could network in one region, i needed to chhose which solutions had such urgency that we could design finance to extebd to 200000 vilage communities. at such basic levels as end starvation, a solution like growing rice is replicable across much of the asia continent below latitude 29n- in fact chinese villages in 1970s celebrated barefoot doctors and nutritionalists- we adapted that idea to linkin 200000 bangla villages sharing microfranchise solutions.

6 whilst brac coworkers involve growth to hundreds of thousands of fieldworkers in the villages, after our first decade we moved hq to dhaka where we could be a hub for training the trainers as well as our partners

7 brac university-  when i reached my 70th birthday around 2000,  i got concerned about brac after me- someone told me

that almost all organisations that last a century or more are universities. so brac started a university in dhaka- we couldnt use poverty funds for this so

it had to fund itself- in getting started it had the brac name but largely we needed to serve what other bangladesh universities see as graduate curricula

but from the getgo i did specify that every student needed to spend one term doing a project in rural bangladesh- the good thing about starting a university in 2001

was that hi-tech experiments were being brought to bangloadesh by worldwide partners so our university could track the futures of poverty-tech

i also had a dream- where brac was already a public srvant world leader we could both help train future government servants and be a global hub-

our first case of living ths dream is the james grant school of public health leveraging our world class knowlede on last mile infant and mothers health,

first 100 days nutrition and reduction of infectious diseases such as TB

8 We have always been about microlearning- peer to peer networks of livelihood skills acquistion- in villages without access to electricity grids -girls

working compass has linkedin around the first 5 sdgs - end poverty, end hunger,  value basic health, livelhood education, valuing women as core

    to building a nation.

9 Some people have confused why we do what we do with how - we needed to finance girls livelihoods, provide savings accounts and build their

bottom up markets. Microfinance ++ was a way to get that stated but  its both inseparable from our purpose livelihood training, and insepaarable

from every part of financial services that we can make a unique pro-poor contribution to - eg ultra micro city bank for birls, world largest cashless bank bkash,

10 As the new millennium started and the idea of tech foir the poorest started to be a global opportunity, it was vital for us to first

make sure we got our role in bangaldesh financial services market transparent, and having a unversity alogsiode that is useful. By doiing this

we have helped make dhaka the capital city that hs attracted the world's number 1 combination of NGO partners- we wanted this foundation

before we worked out which nations around teh world could most replicate some of our solutions-

11 In most of the worldiwde locatios BRAC has extended to in 21st C, we have chosen

a national partner whose mission is to sustain that places peoples, we are just offering solutions that partner can integrate.

12 To summarise where we are as the world's first education laureate- almost every female meber of brac we have livelihood trained

often through peer to peer processes- we are an experiential learning network- thats what we do; once village mothers had moved

past the extreme poverty line- their mai9n wish was their chilrden would move far past it- so we have built about 40000 informal primary

schools and about 30000 pre-primary. Informal menas our schools cannt afford what a city school needs to certify in terms of buildings

but our promise to vilage mothers is we will see our children near the top of the rankings where they take exams at the end of primary.

13 To change the world through edutech needs more bandwidth than to leapfrog with fintech, so we have to focus carefully on what we can scale,

and what we can advise on worldwide but cannot yet implement in bangladesh.

14 when it comes to fintec, you can benchmar brac's bkash partnership as recognised as workd number 1 cashless bank for the poorest by tech wizardy networks such as Bill Gates and Jack Ma

why isnt germany ranked as top currency manipulator ?

probably because that would lead toi questions as to how

world's reserve currency is number 1 manipulator

welcome to smbaworld.com & EconomistDiary.comCRISIS OF Fake/Badwill Media: in early 1960s, we the peoples started debating whether exponential increase in technology will
sustain or destroy humanity by 2030- as we know social and sci-tech writers have been debating both possibilities since
    HG Wells -
new media has history of  giving
bad or sad old actors a network-platform from ISIS today to how hitler used the small advantage of first ownership of audio tape recorders- his propaganda broadcast on radio 24/7 while opponents had to make each spech live!

our first of 100 AI debates- what would happen if everyone in the world had a pocket calculator!
the 1960s added a much bigger debate if humans can reach the moon , what will happen when we have trillion times moore tech:
two places started designing everything people did aroud this search - silicon valley named after Intel Moores promise that
electronic engineers would multiply tech 100 fold ever decade to 2030 and Japan Bay - the programable silcon chip was
invented because of intel's then biggest ever order from a japanese calculator company- within a decade japan had become
the world's second biggest economy (with extraordinary quality engineerings, and civil engineers: bullet trains 30 yeras ahead of anywhere else, superport containerisation which together with just in time supply chains was to make The Bay to singapore, world trade's busiest route) -thus Japan started up an era of post-colonial economics giving hope to the 60% of humans who live in Asia : it had shared world trade and new technolgy with islands all the way south to singapore (including taiwan, hong kong
and the s korea isthmus). Through superports and exemplary mega cities (both tokyo and seoul quickly dwarfed new york with 25+ million populations) the Chinese diaspora became the second biggest investors in technology and civil infrastructure,
and from 1972 Kissinger started discussing with the mainland if it was time for the fifth of the world';s people to rejoin world trade-
back ion 1860 china had been foreced by Britannia to choose - close your society down or accept opium as a trading currency. This
partly explains why places Chinese Asians design often have extreme laws as to how to deal with drugs traders

    Let's end poverty.

Join 70 years of debating 1955-2025- can technology sustain a planet where next child born has a fair chance at life?

-help us publish the first chinese edition of the Dictionary of World Record Jobs Creators-

our investigation begins with Norman Macrae sent by The Economist in 1955 to be the only journalist at Messina where the European Union was born- norman had served in world war 2 as a teenager navigating airplanes over modernday myanmar- he saw wars root cause as how the big 6 western nations (less than 10% of people) had spent 400 years colonising much of the rest of the world including the majority of peoples living on the vast Asia continent- with JFK's moon race and Gordon Moore's promise of 100 times more comstech every decade the opportuity to celebrate win-win trades across next generations of every hemisphere appeared to Norman to be the most exciting challenge the human race would ever face. Lose sustainability's race and mother nature might well decide humans are the next dodo; win the race and the proverbial happiness and freedom of 1776's Declaration of Independence could be a blossoming reality for every 21st C child and family

Chen Deming: WTO Reform Matters In the New Era of Globalization

With the rapid development of globalization, current economic stagnation has posed a great challenge to the multilateral system. The core of this challenge is how great powers get along with each other. Closely related to the development of globalization, obstacles to WTO reform emerged at the G20 Summit in 2018. Member countries have divergent perspectives on the direction of reform as well as their own interests.

A key disadvantage of WTO rules is that many agreements call for unanimous approval by all 164 members, while its advantage is that it can implement sanctions as a permanent independent institution. However, after years of changes in international politics, economy and geopolitics, as well as the development of advanced technology such as IT, the liberalization and facilitation of trade and investment pursued by WTO is far from being achieved. Many rules need to be revised.

Many countries suggest that China and the United States should lead WTO reform. This is no easy task. China insists on differential treatment for developing countries, which is opposed by the United States.

This year, discussions on WTO reform will be on the agenda of the G20 meeting in Japan. Nonetheless, its realization still needs the consent from the WTO Ministerial Conference. This shows the difficulties in achieving progress in the formulation of global governance rules, especially setting multilateral rules in the short term.

Chen Jian, CCG Advisor; Former Vice Minister of Commerce

Chen Jian: China should grasp the trend of international rules

China's development is a destined result of 40 years of reform and opening up, and the process of continuous integration with international rules. Over the next 40 years, China should not only set clear goals, but also forecast and seize the trends in international rules.

The international power structure, division of labor, economic structure and governance system are all experiencing changes. We should accurately grasp the next step of development. Globalization not only promotes the growth of the global economy, but also brings problems such as exclusiveness, unfairness, inequality and non-reciprocity in the international trade system.

The trend of globalization 4.0 should be a progressive and upward process, starting from the weakest and the most needed place, and improving governance with a commitment to existing rules. In the process of improving the governance structure, we must uphold the core values of the multilateral trading system. This is the basic principle of WTO.

We must correctly understand the meaning of "no break" and "no stand", adhere to the spirit of the "Belt and Road” Initiative and properly handle contradictions between existing rules and new practices. We should move forward in the right direction with determination, treat differences with tolerance, solve complex problems with wisdom, and tackle lasting issues with patience.

Cui Mingmo, President of China Association for International Economic Cooperation (CAFIEC)

Cui Mingmo: China will open up widely for the next 40 years

2019 marks the 70th anniversary of China's founding. Over the past 70 years, China has achieved historic achievements in economic development. Looking forward, China has stated it will only be more open rather than shutting its door. This can be seen in China holding the upcoming second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and the recently passed Foreign Investment Law to ensure a good investment environment for foreign investors.

China is showing the world its determination to continue to open up wider. China will continue to adhere to this policy and strive to open up over the next 40 years of reform and opening up.

Ronnie Chan, CCG Co-Chair; Chairman of Hang Lung Properties

Ronnie Chan: The East and the West should seek consensus while reserving differences and respecting each other's views

The new round of globalization has been widely discussed. However, whether there will be one, in what way it will happen, and whether it is a real process of globalization, are questions worthy of consideration at present. Ten years ago, no one would have expected that China would come forward to support a new round of globalization, while the United States turns back the clock.

China has been clear in its commitment to continue to open up in the future. Many developed countries, including the United States, believe that they are open enough. But unpredictable events like Brexit and the inauguration of Trump raise the question whether there might be the need to further open up. Meanwhile, whether China needs to fully open up like the West is also a question worthy of consideration.

The discourse systems of the East and the West are very different. President Xi Jinping proposed a community with shared future for mankind. We should work together to build a future that benefits everyone. Whether the West really wants to seek consensus while reserving differences is unknown, but it is hoped that the West can respect the different views of others. We hope that the East and the West can reach a consensus and pursue a future that is beneficial to all.

    Wang Huiyao, President of Center for China and Globalization (CCG);
Vice President of China Association for International Economic Cooperation (CAFIEC)

Wang Huiyao: China will continue to expand its opening in Globalization 4.0

Globalization 4.0 has arrived. China will continue to open up and actively promote a new round of global economic opening to provide an important driving force for the development of an open world economy.

The new round of globalization needs more consensuses, so as to expand the opening up and promote the innovation of talents and education, and the progress of globalization 4.0 with the development of science and technology.

In the era of globalization 4.0, China will provide the world with more wisdom and put forward greater plans. With the prevalence of trade protectionism and unilateralism, global governance is facing new challenges and new situations. How to develop a higher level of open economy in the future, how to deal with a new round of globalization challenges and how to better participate in global governance and build a community with shared future for mankind are all urgent issues to be considered.

    Liu Shijin, CCG Advisor; Deputy Director-General of Economic Council under the CPPCC;
Vice President of Development Research Foundation under the State Council

Liu Shijin: The key to China's future reform is to implement the objectives

Despite experiencing many setbacks, globalization has been moving forward due to the resilience of this process. Internationally speaking, the Sino-US trade relationship has been developing and is likely to result in an agreement in spite of recent trade disputes. It is in the fundamental interests of the two powers, as well as the international community, to expand the common interests they have. This is the impetus of globalization.

At the same time, WTO reform is also imperative. The trade relationships among China, the USA, Japan and Europe may end up with a non-tariff free trade zone. It may take a long time, but the target is there. Domestically speaking, the Chinese economy is experiencing a transformation from high-speed to medium-speed growth. The main sources of China's growth in the future will include the improvement of low-efficiency sectors, income growth, human capital upgrading of the low-income population, the transformation and upgrading of consumption and production structure, cutting-edge innovation and green development.

China is facing challenges both at home and abroad. The system needs to be improved, new reform objectives should be put forward and a high-level market economy has to be built. China's next step is to carry out the reform objectives that have been proposed.

Justin Vasse, Director-General of Paris Peace Forum

Justin Vasse: The Direction of Globalization: Maintenance, Reform and Expansion

There are many reasons behind anti-globalization, including a break in the global value chain caused by 2008 economic crisis, the rapid development of service sectors and trade frictions. There are three directions for the future of globalization.

First, WTO should fulfill its responsibility of maintaining the mechanism of globalization and regulating global trade in a better way. China and the EU are making headway on this and should work together to fight against trade unilateralism.

Second, the WTO does require reform. Responding to this, the EU does not agree with some of the Trump administration's unilateralist policies. China and the EU have been communicating closely with each other and expect a solution to be brought forward by the China-EU working group within the framework of WTO.

Third, we should expand and push forward global governance. In the future, we should pay more attention to the relationships among environment, geopolitics and trade relations. On one hand, in order to reduce carbon emissions and protect biodiversity, we must link it with trade and ensure their coordination.

On the other hand, peace promotes globalization and stability brings greater trade. In the future, we should strengthen the relationship between trade and geopolitics and avoid repeating the same mistakes. We must reduce risks and avert more trade wars, protectionism and geopolitical threats.

    Hon. Terry Miller, Director of Center for International Trade and Economics, Heritage Foundation;
    Former US Ambassador to UN

Hon. Terry Miller: China should learn from the World Bank's experience on BRI

CCG has created this platform for international exchanges of ideas and promoting mutual understanding. As globalization has entered a new phase, the Belt and Road Initiative serves as an important path in the process of globalization and plays an important role in enhancing cooperation and mutual trust among all countries.

Over the past few decades, China has led hundreds of millions of people out of poverty and towards globalization. With its growing strength, China is becoming more active in integrating itself into the international community. In essence, the Belt and Road Initiative is complementary to the functions of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

Therefore, China can learn more from the existing experience to enhance the transparency of the Belt and Road cooperation by tackling corruption and contributing more to the development of globalization.

    •  and other events now needed aericans to have a far deeper understanding of workld beography and histiry than theior mass media permitted - still orwell's big brother year was celebrated instead with Norman Macrae's 2025 report - this pulled together nearly 2 decades of leadership debates of the tech age acceleration- personal computung was arriving as was the opporutiny to network death of distance virtially through satellites- but in the west big organsiatuons were pioneering how all this was used- the continental chiense had retorned to world marjets for the first time in 1976- their daispor a (now the 3rd strongest investment power through suoerpoirts in taiwan hk singapore) was inward investing but the overkand chiense still had no telphones; india hadnt yet removed its protectionist barriers but the indian dia[ora were big in computer programming and back in india the innovation of telecentres was emerging as a worldwide first

The 2025 report projected why the whole world would need to agree in 2000 that discrepanies in incomes and expectatons between rich and poor nations would be mans greatest risk- and brilaint toming would be needed if the emergence of new digotal media was to be the opportinity to make the learning best of old mass and new personal media rarher than the wors

trumpexposed.JPG#theeconomist UNwomens happy young usa needs teachers students literacy how lobbying has taken over democracy- this doesnt tell the half of the way the nra networks but its a starter businessinsider.com/nra-power-lobb

what else would you add to a curriculum of how lobbyists steal our kids futures

These are the most exciting times to be alive- the knowhow and investments of three generations (grandparents, parents, half world under 30 ) are determining the sustainability of the human race- there is so much work to be done now- not in a decade's time, that will be way too late

what we need to do is look at whole markets - energy, health care, education ... - as if they are jigsaws- we know how these were globally designed during the carbonised industrial age, what could they look like in an age where we have to start all over again with clean energy but can give youth the adavantage of thousands of times more computing and communications tech than we had at the end of world war 2

Its a fact that if you want to design beautiful new jigsaw pieces you will gain hugely from makimg friends with eastern youth - from 1946 successful places and generations in the east had to innovate things that the age of western industrial empires had not.

Take one beautuiful example- in bangladesh from 1972 they worked

on the jigsaw of bottom-up health services; start with the idea that health services

    have say 20 different parts - 2 of which are very expensive: surgery and the world's newest pharma drug;

    brac in bangladesh started assembling all the other parts - one quarter of infants' lives could be saved by mothers learning oral rehydration; in fact brac and collaboration partners put so many last mile health servant pieces together that they raised the average living age from the low 30s to the 60s by 1996; you should note that brac networked mothers in rural villages without electricity so none of the most expensive western health services were applicable anyhow;

    since 1996 microsolar and  mobile phones have started bringing new possibilities to upgrade the brac village health care system - but the first lesson is that bangladesh grew a 150 million person nation from poorest in the world with a health service that cost 10 times less of a place's budget than rich nations health services ; in the process it created local jobs, it broke through generations of illiteracy -and brains that were underdeveloped due to lack of nutrition-  empowered girl leadership of community services in such a way that bangladesh is now also one of the most innovative creators of digital solutions;

brac owns the largest cashless banking system in the world www.bkash.com

so that it can invest in girls ending poverty and leading collaboration around many of sustainability goals deepest experiments

the second lesson is that everyone linked in by brac from its poorest women

customers to the village communites they serve to expert professionals including financiers loves learning by doing in the contexts that locally exist; brac's education system is in some ways as remarkable as its health service; its not just 10 times more economic, it delivers intergenerational progress that no classroom only based education system ever could - brain science shows that from just before adolescence we are made to experimentally learn .. that at least is how bangladesh girls dreams lifted up way more than half the sky in regenerating the places the industrial age most excluded

so before we can transform job creating educatioin, we need to rediscover every global market sector to maximise small enterprise and local community sustaining ;livelihoods

jack ma is showing which ecommerce shoppers' markets can now celebrate smes

in some countries he has also taken back financial service models (eg social credit, alipay ...) by and for the people - this depends on timing technological change: the first to issue paperless currency can also decide where the money goes in opposite ways to how big banks pumpoed out paper printed by pre-digital politicians - he will need all the great tech wizards "Big Data Small" to linkin round bottom up blockchain to maximise where tech could make loife shaping social service sectors sustainble locally and across generations

another problem is that western mass media has created all sorts of entertainment heroes but these are now separated from job creating heroes and in some cases paid 100000 times more than pre-tv enetrtainers - so we are urgently looking for arts and cultures movements that give back participation in every local community

breaking news in from 2013 is that china's public servnts have been aiming to redesign development banks at least those investing in infrastructure- in the process chinese mass media has become the most openly investigative in the world in terms of looking at how sustainhility goals depend on every vilage being linked in to hi-trust trade - how we treble up old infrastiructure such as transport, new infrastructore such as mobile, and education that goes outside classrriom so that teenagers apprentice in skils relevant to the 21st century which is now spending 1000 times more on beng connected worldwide by learning communications tech than it was in 1946

in spite of samplng 2000 yunus books and 15000 copies of journal of social business we learnt no major western university wanted to collaborate with youth through moocs and other open modes a curriculum that would end their hugely profitable mba (remember this was a curriculum founded by big banks and top down politicians)

we also found that while dr yunus was briliaint at launching solutions in rural markets where tv advertising had not become the dominant marketing channel he was very costly for big brands to partner (thats where they wanted to develop the most conscious SME purpose of their sector not just greenwash)

if you have ideas that can help youth's most massive cooperations in bottom up- or open please contact isabella@unacknowledgedgiant.com

are we in time to try to get award www.premiosciacca.it  2017 for the 2 youngish female founders of www.singforhope.org - they have now placed 600 pianos in poor community centres and children hospital suburbs across new york with each one adopted by a star team (often broadway actors with time to spare but also many wall street spaces during a summer festival) that makes sure stuff happens

i think their model now has relationships with leading arts people around the world- tokyo is one of the cities to spread it to before the olympics and of course anywhere else where we can get the nations top music people interested in the model

I recommend tokyo and olympics for many reasons- antonio introduced me to various sports and other networks that wanted to give back; as did hiro in tokyo - we know that with jack ma sponsoring the olympics it will coming to hollywood/LA as well as probably paris

I am confident that this arts/youth movement would happiny p[arrter in scaling anything else that united top stars and deep community

At Davos while President Xi Jinping was planting new curricula of II banking and 11 green belt corridor maps around the world, jack ma was explaining his attempt to take over the purpose of the olympics to celebrate futures of arts, green, health and happiness sectors. I read in kotean newspapers that ban ki-moon may be tapped to redesign the clean side of the international olympics committee and fortunately the leader of the special olympics presented at  brookings recently why he has spent 25 years linking emotional learning research - a passion of jack ma's Alibaba Group Founder and Commissioner, Jack Ma, Shares His Thoughts on the #LearningGeneration

Lord Stern - Would it work for you if i introduced my father's other great friend in UK Sir Keith Peters (former head of royal society medicine, gene mapping at Cambridge, Hammersmith Teaching Hospital , Crick Institute)  - after celebrating sir fazle abed's 80th birthday party in dhaka, vatican and chinese students have been asking me why couldnt an eminent 15  health leaders present at G20 Argentina, and aiid Mumbai

    - dont know if you feel that would be timely alongside your eminent 15 of development banking's greatest ever goals??

I see my fathers third happy inspiration George Soros has just called for reversal of brexit but maybe that's a bit more euro-centric controversial than the billion jobs that green and affordable health now need young professionals and big data small tech wizard to help map and blockchain everywhere

to mediate end poverty among biggest decision-makers.

Fitting human sustainability now depends on JW's goal

    macrae @obamauni  14m

These are the most exciting times to be alive. Or more precisely the dynamic decision interacted by 3 generations around our planet (half aged under 30, their parents and grandparents) will determine if the human race sustains intergenerational growth or goes the way of the dodo.
In our searches these are : Moon Landing (its consequences not the result by itself), and the development of China and Bangladesh.
All there are very different testimonies to human endeavor- let's atart with Bangladesh - its both the least understood, and systemically
the most fundamental. Today we citizens demand tarsnoparency among professions and professors let alone public serviants
S-gen pattern rule 1 if you never get round to innovating solututions for localities suffering the greatest loss of a sustainability driver,
our race will never achieve sustainability.

dear Wainright : hopefully a few godwill and goodwill zigs and zags linked permanently together in last 24 hours

in last 24 hours i have had

50 minute live meeting our meta-mentor AL; our 1461 day goal baltimore will be turned into a supercity lab for anything once disadavantaged youth didnt get a chance to co-create- al's communities are unique in trying to free social justice across usa since 1881- but they have only just discovered connections across cities of tech people like J & J and you

baltimore only has 2 international industries that have global financing ie under armor sports textiles and hopkins health- there's got to be a way that olypmics sponsors get something in your fields- in spite of friend michael palins best efforts (green movements of royal geographic society, bbc's number 1 cross cultural correspondent, previously monty python humorist) middle east and african networks failed to deliver promises on time so my freinds, amy and i missed out on brazil olympics  but have been debating how olympics youth and job co-creating youth can co share fame for 15 yeras universityofstars.tv - london 2012 we wanted to get the bbc involved but then muhammad yunus badly let down all my friends in london and gave all his permissions to a german agent who caused antipathy with literally everyone involved in ,londons sustainabilty olympics movements - i am more than happy to fly over to tokyo if miko ever wants to share connections -equally if she and amy prefer different hi society and arts specifics circles of advisers thats cool- once my friends find how to connect with al baba we can all join in ; we have at least 2 known supporters of sustainable youth working directly for prince charles- and at tokyos previous olympics charles (who my father scriptwrote for) acted as sonys bridge to the west, so its just a case of finding the right way to beg for royal help at the right time; unfortunately muhammad yunus misused all of prince charles trust networks so we have had to regroup - but somewhere along the line monica yunus will come out to bat for the new team with www.singforhope.org Monica Yunus - The Official Website - her advisers are

both of the conversations in last 24 hours build on as series of probably over 100 conversations with amy and king (amy can introduce king - there's a great chance in a month or so that he will suddenly have permissions access to 2000 conscious student unions all of whom want to liberate their innovation potential from having it chained to one academic school and being put in 200000 dollars debt for such learning slavery)- both baltimore and this youth newtork are the only ones free to share solution across us and no-us cities- we should all tell every politician we ever meet how rotten their visa system is and how rotten spoending money on aid is when it does double loop back to developing american youth- it absolutely disgiusts me to see aid greenwashed and conditionalised the way americans big chesses sadly have

my understanding of anyoine who replies to my emails is:

that the tech people who can uderstrad the value of everything you have innovated are jayfus and jose- i recomend the 3 of you trust each other -and if tere is any chnace of a real meeting tell us where it happens so some of us (eg amy) can join for a second half - they have many connections from jose in shenzehen and mit fablab to jayfus designing all sorfts of sensor and augmenetd reality projects and xelarning prize networks as well as revenues for the miltary with a team of about 25 coders he has built out of baltimore

all of king amy myelf kiehl and al have information on why batimore can be the best possible space to locate some kind of start up but technically only jose and jayfus can check that pout with you - then we probably need some of al's corporfate connections and kings real esetate army

kiehl has also spent 2 days listening to miko artistics projects (and i made sure she talked to dianne patron or arts out of central park society and china's connectirs of stduent exchanges and c100) and tokyo olympics as well as why you both see amy as a fantasttic faciliators for the livelihoods of QuarterBillionGirls.com - a Norman Macrae Foundation Youth Economists Project - keiehl has all sortof engineering schools and patrons of the arts but I am noit sure if he will get it  until jose and jayfus have decided if there is a mutual way forward

i dont really understand why the circulation lsit shopuldnt be widened but in case there is some finacuial confidential issue that only technolgsits can decide whether they are all on the same pitch it is best you take the discussion up with jose and jayfus (involve amy amd king as cheereladers if you will) and then tell the erst of us if your core team has come together

if this doesnt make sense as a plan i welcome jose or jayfus re-editing all of the above

lee- thanks for all the time you have given amy and my daughter

    best chris

ps when amy is unavaiable scarlett tramslates everythoing that is going on for me in beijing - her intended career is a s translator in hi-tech industrues- so if you have some summary specuification i can drop by mit office in tsinghua please send ito me- also  if you like tweeting the future of whats possible please include #BAtech - that will will get to some tsinghua studets who follow this tag

pps i do have some contacts in mila and barcleopna but i woulds ratrher see if baltimore can be all teh itellectual partners you need becasuse i can go over there any time ; i ahvent found who will check out barcelona or milan as conveneintly though i must since we wont have another pope francis and xi jinping in my lifetime and they are desepartely seeking the right way to get their billions of folowers to unite before g20 argentina 2018; that would chage every other billion person brand or in the case of usa's 45 rival populatuon reuite these most scary states to be a girl in today

q1 is it really the economist's job to end poverty and is such world possible?: yes why else did James Wilson startup The Economist in 1843 and read Keynes excellent pre-war progress report of ending poverty (last chapter general theory)- and The Economist's poignantly honest centenary biography written at height of war in 1943

Q&A 2 - who will have most to do to end poverty ? Chinese parents and their millennial generation because of their numbers and the MICROfranchise good news of the learning economy is almost every solution they come up with can be replicated by small enterprises and world social trade platforms provided transparency of smart contract ledgers is an open tech priority

Action (Social) valuing the learning-by-doing expoentials of sustainbility is the race that will make 2016-2030 the greatest #learninggeneration provided we bridge school and velihood seamlessly

Business (Sustainable) Sustainability is alwaus lost first at local community levels (and boundaries), where risks have been externally compounded by man's biggest organsiations

Notes on open space beyond classroom - needed for susdtainability and jobs creating entrepreneurs

QuarterBillionGirls.com Profile: Jack Ma is unique in sustainability goals era 2016-2030 as both a world class businessman and educator. Born in Hangzou China he focused the first 20 years of his productive life age 11-30 learning and then teaching English- in the process his international friends network was extraordinary. When Jack started learning English in 1976, China was just starting its transformation from inward looking to a billion plus person world trading nation. In 1994, Jack Ma traveled to US West coast, saw the worldwideweb and asked how can a Chinese version of that create jobs for small enterprises. As Jack built Ali Baba to be China’s number 1 internet business he kept asking how can I sustainably build 100 million jobs for China, and involve global youth in jobs that sustain their regions of the planet too. You can expect Jack Ma to look for partnership in ways to leapfrog what was possible in markets confined to pre-digital age and driven by macroeconomic models constrained to consuming more and more things instead of growing people.Note that Ma calls Ali Baba a data company not a retail one. He invests in next core business models such as Aliyunwill reap the rewards in 2019 while the year for Cainiao will be 2023. These are the seeds we planted ten years
Jack has designed ecommerce to include small enterprises in market sectors mediated by alibaba and tao bao. He has redesigned China’s financial services market – alipay & ant financial 1 2  . acquired video network Youku Tudou, selectively partners Hollywood
He aims to be pivotal to any technology from cloud computing to blockchain that offers leapfroging potential by involving big data but valuing analytical impacts that win with small and rural enterprises.
Aged 50 and with Ali Baba IPO a record breaking success, Jack has committed to return to spending more and more time with youth – this time globally and through open learning and sustainability channels. Check out his roles as China’s commissioner to the education commission or his eWTP contribution to China’s collaboration invitations at the Hangzhou Consensus of China’s G20 2016. Search for the Universities Jack Ma has started to found or selectively partner, and the entrepreneurial hub competitions he helps fund. Ma is a special advisor to the United Nations on youth entrepreneurship and small businesses Also note that 0.3% of Ali Baba revenues go to a sustainability fund and Jack Ma hosted the first 1000 leaders of philanthropy summit animated out of China.
Breaking News Summer 016 Ma elected to lead China Entrepreneur Club (CEC)Ma summarizes his core responsibilities as CEC Chairman in four aspects: 1) clarify the relationship between business leaders and money; 2) clarify the relationship between business leaders and the government; 3) clarify the relationship between Chinese business leaders and the world; 4) rectify the relationship between the past and the future.                                         AGLA

Breaking news from NYopenspace.com  (9/15-9/20 ) text 240 316 8157- IF NY hubbed 10 most collaborative projects for youth sustainabilty , what would they be?

Whither Sustainability while late 20th C western macroeconomists and  MBA business schools assume valuing youth and nature's greatest goals

is constrained hy half of the cost of every market being spent on communications - we advise worldwide youth to seek out partnerships with

Eastern movementss who value small enterprises by cutting cost of communications to near zero. If in douby, checkout which were adam smith's free market's morals and trust about ?

thanks to AliBabaPilot.com for guiding us how to board the entrepreneurial revolution

For over 40 years now it has been clear ( eg to any alumni of the coming Entrepreneurial Revolution The Econobmsit 25 december 1976)  that there weird future shock faultlines would compound due to 2030 versus 1946 being the era when 3 generations spent over 4000 times more annually on learning communications technology.

We can now be pretty certain of forcecasting that if we don’t transform education ad community financial inclusion to the level of every market sector channel’s space for small enterprises, it will not be a case of winning and losing nations like the industrial age promoted, it will be that all of our human race is judged by nature to be unsustainable

The good news is that most of the social world trade innovations ended are win-win . Invent a better schooling system and it can be replicated to analogous communities all round the world. The bad news is that global professions tend to exert their monopoly over ruling zero-sum and highly bordered systems in many ways the opposite of the partnership flows that need to be valued in a networking planet/.

    8 Ying LOWREY

Lowrey is trusted as a chief scout of Jack Ma and Small Enterprise economists (eg Phelps Columbia U) as her first job was : as one of China’s barefoot doctors in the villages, and she has advised us government on SMEs for decades. She graduated in maths at a Chinese university and postgraduated in economics at Duke Today she connects future leaders out of Beijing’s most trusted university Tsinghua where students are taught to be measurable to their systemic actions not to dogmatic theories.

15 years before Ali Baba U, Blecher in south Africa- asked how can a new university design best job creating experience for our country’s most disadvantaged students?

Mandela chose to be one of his first partners in this quest then Richard Branson (entrepreneur curriculum), google Africa (coding curriculum), Maharishi (emotional self-confidence). Today Maharishi Uni system has graduated 15000 of South Africa’s finest job creating leaders. And the missing jobs curricula are being rewritten so that 7th grade teachers can practice them- this is modal age children leave school in S Africa

5 LUCKNOW Gandhi family City Montessori School is the world’s favorite according to Guinness Book of records. Up to 50000 parents send their children to Luckow each year. Its teachers love change as much as Gandhi’s being did. Its unique curricula and international exchanges before adolescence : peace, world civics, and kids helping coach illiterate adults. CMS tries to take up every challenge India’s late great President Kalam issued in valuing children CMS does the most on the least resources of any top ranked school known to us. Kalam’s digital education baton: taken up by tech guru Nilekani

Mobilising the web will economically empower peer to peer learning of specific practice disciplines ; notably those most needed in poor communities which rich professionals seldom live and action learn in. BRAC provides as exception with most of its 100000 staff committed to bottom-up training. The most exciting quest today innovates how coders can help  real practitioners leapfrog in ways parallel to that the greatest community development bankers and market designers now visibly do

3 MIT and Berkley development labs are US spaces where leapfrog models have so far originated  -will they help form  education4susrainability? One might hope that these superapp epcentres might also transform teaching methods of mathematics along the lines of maths circles and wolframs play spaces.

2 Kenya’s IHUB is the world’s benchmark for where coding youth assemble and positively hack the world action learning solutions. Which hubs in your city have same valuingyouth purpose as IHUB

1 Who is the number 1 economist of valuing how historically a place’s future opportunities for youth is locked in by its education system. And if sustainability is to be earned, how will that economist map borderless jobs opportunity priorities of global youth4sustainability

Which innovation components of sustainability goals and exponentials  does each leading partnership wholly integrate
Keynsian future history mediation by/for poorest (women or families) of global social value whole truth
First explicit question of professional inconvenient truth 1906 gandhi; nearest gandhi got to sustaining system solution partnership with montessori; by 1930s Keynes school general theory epicentre of this;  46 far east poorest first to liberated post-colonial world peacefully where culture respected mothers roles; since 68 (POP) preferential option poor approaches first translated by BRAC as bangladesh's curriculum of how worlds poorest mothers develop 100+ million nation; main global social sectors applied to health, jobs-led education, food security, banking of microfranchises; 2015's sustainability years ultimate question needs to illuminate: why and how  china's millennials will be make or break in webbing all of sustainability's cultural revolution innovation opportunities
pro-jobs leverage of key moments in spending over 4000 times more on global village commns
Note W4E leapfrogging through mobile universal connectivity of human digital networks has only been possible since 1995 as the merging net generation confronts freedom challenges of era of increasing global village coms  (economistuniversity.com) spend from 128 to 4096 that of 1946 levels - map how the first triad of mobile leapfrogging mit-bangladesh-kenya
    - prior to 1995 first 7 doublings of global village communications tech (ie 128 times more than spent 1946) went into tech and big science apps of satellites, arms and moon races, closed systems leverage of silicon chips moores law- in more detail 1981 to 1995 saw the bridging of global digital networked communication but this was designed round the biggest organisations nit the peoples sustainability challenges of universal human connectivity
escape from unsustainable value chains (eg carbons)
Following up 25 year models of linking in majority of boston's smartest medical students (Pih.org). Jim Kim's world bank asks 25 year old professionals to make complete list of global value chains that are not yet optimal for sustaining humanity-and then to commit professional skills to pop mediation of each chain; partnered a year later by Pope Francis and ultimately catholic youth as largest semi-formal cultural collaboration identity of sustainability
science spiritually innovated by system mapping at more micro or more open level
Eg nanotechnology is a pursuit einstein would endorse in his greatest finding - whenever old science says there is no more room to innovate, mode dynamics at more micro level; however the most challenging transformation beyond carbon energy's easiest but increasingly scarce, bellicose and dirty extraction to natures abundant clean ones still has no partnership open to all youth to action network; this risk to irreversibility is now 20 years beyond the 1976 timelines set by friends of The Economist's survey of Entrepreneurial Revolution. Ironically only neville williams (orignally carters clean energy lead scientist) and muhammad yunus took these timelines serious but their knowledge on microenergy has not been codified as an open curriculum in spite of efforts by britains royal family to get britain's microeconomic or public media on this case
Total changeover to open elearning network world
In south free university movement with mandela extranet partnership blessing has led this since 1999 or where youth open tech hubs linking open source solutions. In western pro-youth twinning with other hemispheres,  early partnership drivers of this include Global university of poverty where students bring back solution cases from villages to change curricula . IF the UN is to empower youth as core to the sustainability goal generation then UNAI has lot to live up to in selecting eg best partners for Amrati www.amma.org

there is huge risk that obama's current Kenya/ethiopia trip will add noise and conflict to understand africans most needed to share with china/far east asia on this hopefully through mediation by yazmi

there is an urgent need for what dr ranga nows of amrati to unite naila before she goes off and makes her own circuit of this in a way that serially excludes all the connections dc millennial students most urgently need to be invited to transform  (eg with world ban sytart pf year peru meet october and francis visist to dc late september at same time as un start of changeover sustainability era)

next week i have monday, wednesday, thursday available before west coast trip to catch up with hiro

    rewind of scotsman obituary

Norman Macrae, journalist. Born: 23 September, 1923, in Königsberg, East Prussia. Died: 11 June, 2010, London.

NORMAN Macrae was widely respected as a journalist, but it was his almost uncanny ability to accurately predict economic and social change that led many to regard him as an intellectual colossus.
Norman Macrae was born in Konigsberg, now known as Kaliningrad, in 1923. His father served as the British consul in Moscow between 1936 and 1938. Macrae was educated at Mill Hill School, London, but spent his summers within the heavy walls of the diplomatic compound in Moscow. At that time, Stalin still had a firm grip on the Soviet Union and Macrae was more than aware that embassy staff "disappeared".
Macrae was called up during the Second World War. He described his role as an RAF navigator as a "public-sector one, with public-sector productivity, as a teenager supposed to throw bombs about as an RAF navigator, creating a slum in the heart of the continent. By the time I got there, the Russians were coming in from the other side.
"All the politicians, including (Winston] Churchill and (Theodore] Roosevelt, told us these were fine, liberating democrats. And, of course, I knew from those school summer holidays so briefly before that those were astonishing lies."
Following the war, Macrae enrolled at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, to read economics. Although he enjoyed his studies, he was less a fan of the "sub- polytechnic Marxism", which is how he described the air of intellectualism that filled the halls of the university.
He graduated with a first and began postgraduate research before quitting in 1949 when the Economist came calling, offering the princely sum of 8 a week for a six-month contract. It proved to be a wise decision, as he remained with the publication for 39 years.
As it turns out, 1949 was a year of significant change for Macrae, as he also married Janet, with whom he would have a daughter Gillian, and a son Christopher.
Macrae had an intellectual curiosity which the Economist allowed him to explore, and this led to many of his most remarkable predictions of national and international significance. In 1962, Macrae wrote a piece headlined Consider Japan, at a time when many in the western world had forgotten the country existed.
Japanese pride had been rocked by its Second World War defeat with the 1945 atomic attacks and as a country it had effectively gone in to hiding. Macrae saw something more, however, and predicted that Japan would become the world's greatest manufacturer.
This was considered such an absurd concept that one reader contacted Macrae's editor advising him to provide the clearly malfunctioning journalist with a sun hat to keep his brain from being fried further.
It was in 1962 also that he spectacularly quit the Economist in protest against the magazine's editorial on the Cuban missile crisis, which he saw as poor in judgment and lacking in realism.
He was back at his desk within a matter of hours, how-ever, having made his point.
Macrae's prophetic abilities continued: he forecast the 1975 oil-price crash despite having increased fourfold just two years previously; he foresaw the global obsession with privatisation and in 1983 he wrote that the Berlin Wall would fall at Christmas 1989, which wasn't a bad estimate.
Meanwhile, his knowledge of the USSR and economics led to many articles on the inaccuracy of the CIA's analysis of the Russian economy, of which Macrae was eventually proved to be correct; and in 1984 he co-wrote a book with his son Chris, The 2024 Report: a future history of the next 40 years, in which he wrote about a new technological phenomenon that would link people and organisations worldwide using personal computers.
He was, of course, talking about the advent of the internet and the effects it would have on the world.
He went further however, predicting of accessing this web: "It will be miniaturised so that your personal access instrument can be carried in your buttonhole, but there will be these cheap terminals everywhere."
It was also in this book that he expressed his concern with mankind's productivity levels and the strain it puts the planet under, claiming that the decade 2005 -15 would be the period in which human impact on the planet would reach irreversible levels. We have yet to ascertain whether that prediction is an accurate one.

we believe that china & us millennials learning friendships can urgently sustain the world- maybe its crazily optimistic to value this-
but if this could be part of your future work or schooling's goals too please tell us

.Hello from Macrae family, Washington DC

In research for book World Record Jobs Creators, one chapter will be on why not unite millennials world around one e-channel showing all teachers and students most affordable choices of  job creating and dashboarded skills delivering courses

We intend to be in san francisco conducting interviews around 9 August on this- is there anyone at khan academy who would like to talk to me?. While i can always come back another time this date precedes china research visit of critical impact to this collaboration and millennials sustainability goals

Currently the most collaborative channel i know of for making this happen is the 150 country elearning satellite yazmi | Beaming Knowledge to Everyone owned by an Ethiopian neighbor of mine in washington dc but i welcome views of other possible meta-channels

in the future pro-youth countries will let undergraduate students choose their MOOC combo of best for their world curricula- and they will be able to be tested/certifiied on contexttual mastery of that combo economically at all sorts of local hubs which will also be incubators and accelerators of projecrs students have voted for spending lifetimes on and societies have massively celebrated as exciting ideas for multiplying value   - join the summit on how to link this together at www.microeducationsummit.com

moreover free tertiary education courses will be available for those who can become societies' most value multiplying apprentices - right now if the world's number 1 pro-youth economist muhammad yunus was to host a tv reality aprentice show he'd likely offer top prize to those who design per to peer nursing colleges - for 2 main easons- 1) after 16 years at egrameen of being first to experiment with ER of mobile hubs in pooest villages, nurses have become the most life critical knowledge app users; if we understood how to linkin a nurse from every community- both poorest developing world ones and ruchest old mens ones - we would have the foundations for mapping economical healthcare system  -the impact of the girl effect has never had a greater chance to shine the joy of productive freedom and healthy connectivity wherever you may be

of course education should also give scholarships to collaboration entrepreneurs - those with the greaest open tech innovations to free worldwide - especially those who help all of the net generation co-produce millennium goals as much as youth may choose to do so -however when it comes to understanding who will be youth's 10000 greatest job creators - we caution that the profile of such job creators will not ofteb be large risk takers- microeconomics needs entrepreneurs who will plant and prototype tests in small ways linking in to societies that want to be a lab because of search for a desperately needed oilution - and most of these successful job creating solutions will be replicated to be community owned not driven by some top group who aims to extract from the community more and more every quarter- that old mba model is clearly the most exponentially unsustainabe in the world- if you find a mathematician who truly doesnt understand why and wants to - ask them to contactchris.macrae@yahoo.co.uk

Apologies everyone- after trying for 7 years to help celebrate linking in of SMBA (where S stands for Social or Sustainable Investment) it turns out to be the most impractical idea I have ever wasted time on. Fortunately it has a neigbouring idea that is very simple. Please vote which university alumni systems are both job creating and joyful in collaborating with each other

The Norman Macrae Foundation of journalists and youth entrepreneurs (now in 40th year of debating net generation's next 3 billion jobs) -we know of the free university system in s.africa oriiginated around taddy blecher and celebrated by all Mandela partners including branson. google africa, kiva

We know a jobs creating university out of the poorest county in usa is the number 1 project american students want to build as a celebration of nobel laureate yunus and his family- this is a slow burn collaboration started in 2000 by over 100 of america south's poorest universities

We would love to see MIT join in - it is the number 1 jobs creation alumni network in the world and could be a perfect partner for other universities mentioned whose students live in societies that most need social/sustainability business franchise experiments - see our facbook page for updates

80 years ago - Keynes gave the human race a great gift -always structure capital around investing in next generation's productivity - one that my father spent a lifetime using to tell stories that excited him about human beings and which made entrepreneurial revolution a worldwide genre as The Economist turned from 3rd ranked english weekly to one of a kind global viewspaper.

    dear vidar

as you may know what started as a student competition 12 years ago connected by african american universities with action learning cultures rooted in martin luther king's dream to reality-making and overlapped with where yunus spent 7 of his formative years interacting with us education system before returning to his new nation

... is thanks to www.ofcvc.org hundreds of partners and bangladeshi micro-systems hosting passion of bhuiyan viralising through 8 states including 5 new for the year 2012-3; i am one of the early smallest sponsors of the uni of n carolina student competition september-

may i bring 2 things to your passionate attention in case you would like to meet to dicuss them further (or of course directly chat to ofcvc)

1 i have noted that n carolina is one of the places that sends out student teams to competitons to pre-announce medcal brakthroughs - eg in atlanta's conference last week:

    a) students were announcing a new compound entering clinical trials which may be a radical new cure to mind generative diseases in that it can be shown to rebuild dying cells in the brain not just try and alleviate symptoms of those with parkinsons, hodgkinsons, various sportmen brainbashed diseases (potentially a critical linkin for monica to connect superstars give back to community movement)

    b) another group believe their new tech can bring down the cost of testing equipment needed to detect ecoli from 50000$ monster units to something mobile and with a costing structure ultimately similar to an inkjet printer if they can sequentially build a big enough market' ecoli is just one of a family of pathogens they can help proactively monitor; i must wonder whether mackey might want to know of such progress as it could be a game changer in organic foods industries

these two cases can be thought of as just random examples that the student competition prompts especially when univerities perceive yunus as a master judge - i wonder if there is a way of offering such student entries not a prize which us general judges cant usually judge for such big future changes but where mutually agreeable a hotline to you at grameenhealth - this may become more salient as we go north and west of the 100 historically black universities whose collaboration has built the most urgent needs competion solution openly animated across the states. Moreover starting future student years we could also get more proactive by deliberately choosing some medical university capitals - currenltly our focus is generally maximising youth job creation especially african-american celebrated- obama's senior adviser on women shared the gala awards dinner keynotes with yunus last saturday in atlanta

we also have an agreement in principal to hook up with similar youth university processes across continent of africa led by taddy blecher partners that include mandela, branson (who will soon link in caribbean competitions too) , google and kiva; may i be cheeky and urge you to share advance us calendars as taddy blecher is recognised by skoll to be the number 1 person specifucally changing universities so that every student has virtually free access to being a job creator in communities; the japanese who once rated my dad as the number 1 pro-youth economist are keen on all of the above judging by embassy celebrations they have been hosting on these foci

2 one of the pojects i judged last week comes from a north carolina community where credit stopped flowing- they are building community-owned tools around social bartering networks which is very different from facebook's origin as a social gratification network ; it was my dads 1984 view -future history of entrepreneurial revolution to 2025 - that the knowledge network economy can be 10 times more productive for youth than previous economies provided decision-makers and educators most of the pressing needs knowhow exchanges start with non-monetary ways of connecting a circle of people sharing the same lifechanging service passion-

if you already know some of the people who will be opening up the n carolina branch of grameen bank- would it be practical to fix a meeting in case any of this local bartering intelligence can be valuable to you?- the key point emphasised by n carolina barter circle action reseach is the greatest value multiplying barters loop a circle of say 10 barterers not what two would trade one to one -ie the community smartest banker or network tool designer aims to optimise sustained trust between

a actions something b needs who actions something that c needs that ... j needs actions something a needs

so spiralling positive value exchange all round the community of purpose

it wouldnt surprise me if at local to global SB parnering solutions to yunus greatest millennuim goal actions we need to make a game open to 10 partners that need to search mediated by yunus why they collaboratively need to know each other over the long run that an audacious goal takes to build - my little experience is that all huge green -zero carbon goals have come out of such an implicit process; nobody in the world today has worked harder than yunus to host such multi-win worldwide partnering; it could be time to ensure that smba curricula practically help net generation students scale this interaction/collaboration game. that is arguably the most exciting takeaway from first 12 years of practising deep community-valuation student entrepreneur and job creation competitions

Can You Help Muhammad Yunus’ worldwide Search for 12 Types of Sustainability Partner?

For 2010 these appear to be the 12 types of partner that Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus believes can most urgently collaborate in revaluing sustainability of the world and its global markets

Can you help Yunus, Global Grameen and his 50+ partners  sustainability to date find more collaborators in the contest between microeconomics and macroeconomics rule over what globalisation we compound?

Sustainability Collaboration Partner (CP) Type 2010.1

Micro Sustainability’s Further Refs: Opportunities, Threats, Questionmarks

CP1 Social Business Microeconomics case ReplicatorGrameen Bank – has about 50 microeconomic franchises to replicate around the world in addition to  the famed microcredit banking for the poor. These range from the most economic village model of solar energy to exciting applications of mobile
CP8 Global Corporate BrandsDanone started the most extraordinary revolution in global branding by partnering Grameen . This shows that world class brands can go way beyond the era of greenwashing - how many other corporate brand partners in sustainability do you expect Grameen to make by the end of 2010.?Current registered list 6; current pilot list about 14.
CP9 University Yunus CentresAbout 7 Universities have so far joined forces with Yunus in contributing parts of the missing business curriculum of freeing global markets to value sustainability and collaboratively empowering local community building. Europe leads the way with 3 – USA hopes to catch up with extraordinary California Centre opening end Feb 2010. Example of 8-collaboration partnership web that started in a university -endless nurseless villages (aka Gramen Nurse Institute ) began when Dr Yunus gave a talk at Glasgow Caledonian Uni -Nov 2008 -more
CP11 DigiYouth Job Creation Labs & ForumsSince 1984 economists have forecast that technology will be used in the 2010s to create or destroy a billion jobs and the way youth are empowered to co-create is pivotal. As yet only Dhaka youth get this  microentreprenurial challenge –at least that is what the head of the Nobel judges came to celebrate with 1000 youth there summer 2008. Can you help the moderator of Dr Yunus 69th birthday party http://londoncreativelabs.com/conversations/  and co-moderator of dvd 10000 http://ynus10000.com/  map where other youth & digital job creation labs are rising?
CP4 Place Leaders – with governments lagging in collaboration leadership around resolving climate crises, who are the leaders in your place who are standing up for popular votes to return sustainability around the globe. Please note this issue is a huge one for true collaboration friends of Dr Yunus because Bangladesh is most likely to be the first 100 million nation to be washed away if we twiddle our climate clicking fingers too long with out coordinating actionCredit where credit is due – the royals hunt of the sun across Europe is one of the most encouraging place leadership networks for sustainability we have seen with Prince Albert in Monaco and Prince Charles in the UK networking funds and prizes. Traditional microcredit royals expected to join in are Queen Sofia of Spain and Prince Guillaume in Luxembourg. Please send us news of your nation’s hall of sustainability fame leaders.
CP10 Social Business Funds LeadersThree cheers for the geographical region of France leading the way on this with the first fund being one of Danone’s contributions , next 2 funds emerging around the Grameen Credit Agricole partnership and Monaco
CP3 Social Business festivals/summits timed to snap with your capitals number 1 photo call of the 2010s.Berlin trailed social business festivals during its 20th fall of the wall celebrations in 2009; London is asked by Dr Yunus to be the biggest SB festival of the early 2010s; cities are queuing up to form a collaborative millennium goal SC festival circle in 2015 with Milan taking a lead
CP2 Global branded foundations that get social business dollars recycling is far more economic that one time charitable spendsNike Foundation is a lead example with their Girl Effect brand putting up $5mn in a partnership connecting Grameen Nurse Institute with the worldwide race to end nurseless villages
CP5 World Hero Stages Beyond Tigers –its a strange media world when 50 types of sporting sensations can become world famous overnight but so few world cups exist for sustainability games heroines and heroesAs yet, Nobel is the only stage with world reach equal to any of the sporting world cups- what will be the second world stage to join in?
CP12 Citizen hubs needed to quality control open source replication of social business franchises and help traditional causes converthttp://Yunusforum.net  has been looking for citizen hubs to start this with monthly 100 meetings- as yet sustainability capital clubs haven’t emerged the way social capital and internet clubs celebrated the start of the 00’s
CP7 Collaborative Advantage of Nations- if Adam Smith was alive today, surely collaboration is the great network economics age advantage and the way to go above zero-sum in the way most global professions haven’t yet understoodBangladesh France and Germany seem to be the lead countries in collaborative advantage of nations with India looking a serious contender- more reports needed!
CP6 Trillion Dollar Audit and transparency mapmaking epicenters needs rectifying global markets ruled by systems that are too big to fail and this too big to free their market to value sustainability’s upward exponentialsAs yet Dhaka is the capital en route to every other sustainability capital – where will be the second capital that professions transform to value compound future rising instead of crashing

Collaboration Entrepreneur – term coined by alumni of Norman Macrae’s 1976 survey of Entrepreneurial revolution The Economist 25 December  which began hunt for missing system design of sustainability – references : 1984/85/86: UK 2024 Report /US 2025 Report/France Rapport 2026- a 40 year entrepreneurs’ future history of sustainable net generation; Biography of John Von Neumann first edition 1993 republished 2000

job1.jpg.At 1 through 7 on sustainability's clock, muhammad yunus has 7 different institute names emerging from his Nobel Speech on social business system design as sustainabilty banking way ahead  It might be interesting for yunusforum.net editors  to find out if there is a definition and prime case of each to date -- chris macrae 301 881 1655 http://www.brandchartering.com/ http://www.zh-gy.cn/

1 America's Only Yunus endorsed Uni is also the world's first Institute of Social Business - it is as Calforina State  CSUCI. We hear rumors social business curricula will start Feb 2010.- Searches show little so far- eg

The First Annual Emerald Awards™ of Ventura County will be celebrated at The Emerald Ball, slated for late February or early March of 2010.  Close to 400 friends will enjoy gourmet local and organic cuisine, organic and bio-dynamic wine, craft beer, and an organic signature cocktail.
The Emerald Ball is currently in the planning stages and will feature a fabulous and unique “Sustainability Soiree” that will honor the leaders of Ventura County and raise money for a scholarship to CSUCI’s California Institute of Social Business.

The Emerald Awards™ are presented by the same team that operates Green Home and Family Magazine, Social Good Consulting, Green Drinks Ventura/Thousand Oaks, Planet Good Radio and a number of other sustainability http://www.socialgoodconsulting.com/press-release-list/52-emerald-awards

2 Grameen's Creative Lab http://grameencl.com/  began in Germany connected with a creative agency in Wiesbaden and hundreds of Yunus supporters who meet November in Free Univesrity of  Berlin. It seeks by 2012 and London's Sustainablity Oympics to connect 100+ global brand ceos in benchmarking how to free sustainanity of each of their global markets

3 Outside of the world's yunus epiCENTRE in Dhaka there is only one fully authorised Yunus Centre - in Bangkok Thailand, AIT- some of its latest activities:

meetings with CEOs of the HSBC has been particularly supportive in helping us to network with the banking and business community.

briefing on the Grameen model of microfinance to the Senate Committee on Monetary, Finance, Banking, and Financial Institutions about two weeks ago.  That went very well. The Prime Minister of Thailand has just announced that he will chair a new national committee to establish guidelines for promoting social entrepreneurship.   Expect that there will be a role for the Yunus Center at AIT in this effort.

Outide of Dhaka, the Yunus Uni world cup of officially connected universities concerned with sustainability appears currently to score as USA 1  Europe 3 Japan 3 SE Asia 1 Middle East 1 http://www.muhammadyunus.org/About/yunus-centre-partners/

2009: yunusworld has been accelerating the four types of partnership shown; after four visits to Grameen HQ I have quite a lot of data to share on any of the above cases - reciprocally love to hear from anyone working in these cases

This is the first time the worldwide's most successful network at ending poverty has been hosted out of the Eastern hemisphere. It is a huge oportunity for NW hemisphere delegates to build deeper cultural bridges. Reading the diaries of Mahatma Gandhi is recommended. For those who want a first introduction to the East's Yin & Yangs,  Alfonso Lingis, one of Satyagraha's deep western philosophers has donated this debating piece on cultural flows, and the spirit needed to bridge them.

One always sees things in joy. It seems to me that there is a very fundamental

kind of existential decision we make: do we believe our joy or do we believe

our neutral states? In the latter case, the move is always one of prudence -

not to make decisions in a time of enthusiasm when one is carried away,

but rather to wait until everything cools down. I think one of the most

important things there is - I would almost say one could make this a kind of

maxim for life - is to always make decisions in a state of joy. One should

believe one's joy more than one's prudence, or any cautious or fearful state

    of mind"...

Obstacles to Dialogue Today, by Alfonso Lingis

     1.  Cultures in Dialogue

Today the great centers of wealth and power that derive from the production and control of information--Houston, Silicon Valley, the Ruhr, Lyon, Milan, Tokyo-Osaka, Shanghai, Taipei, Seoul, Mexico City, São Paulo--drain off the brain power of the outer zones--the scientists but also writers, architects, artists, and musicians.  The planet has also never before seen such immense migrations of poor peoples--so much of it forced or illegal.  These  people may bring only low-tech work skills, but they bring their cultural identity.  The great cultural capitals of proud nation states--Paris, London, New York, Sydney, Bangkok, Singapore--have become multiethnic and multicultural.

But that has always been the case.  Mohendo-daro, Memphis and Thebes, Mahabalipuram, Angkor, Djenné Djeno in the Sahel, Teotihuac·n, Qosqo--all the centers of great cultures had been cosmopolitan cities, with markets full of foreign merchants but also with whole quarters of settled foreigners.  What we have come to know as distinctive and dominant civilizations--Egyptian, Persian, Chinese, Roman, and Mongolian--were the result of drawing toward themselves resources, artefacts, inventions, and concepts from the most diverse ethnic areas and cultures.  Anyone visiting Angkor Wat is struck to see altars on which Hindu deities dance around altars with seated Buddhas, friezes depicting everyday life so obviously carved by sculptors who had come from or gone to Borobudur, Chinese guard lions..

When the Bottom Line Is Ending Poverty - Business Week
image of review item Muhammad Yunus is a humble man who would resist being compared to Mahatma Gandhi. But the two have much in common as campaigners for social progress. While Gandhi's goal was the end of colonialism, Yunus' is just as grand: He means to reform capitalism to make it a tool for ending poverty. Think of him as Gandhi with a BlackBerry (RIMM).
